The family institution is an important social establishment that performs a greater task within the community and makes changes to social communities. This establishment is also a social organization known by the individual from an early age. It is almost the foundational pillar of society as it teaches an individual the social values, customs and traditions. In addition, society in turn gives this individual a recognition of identity and sense of belonging.
Based on the role assigned of the Omani Women Association in Muscat to support and promote this trend, the Association sees that it is important to develop a Comprehensive Awareness Program to help developing the woman status within her family and decide ways of strengthening her role in maintaining family cohesion.
This can be conducted through enabling the Association volunteers via organizing, motivating, training and qualifying them to perform their work efficiently and effectively as well as to increase their skills and experience. Moreover, during the period from 21/08/2016 to 1/09/2016, a training program was run on leadership and planning ability development and implementing the volunteer programs during. This program is part of the campaign “ANA AMANA” that consists of three other programs within the campaign. This aims to provide cognitive framework of scientific and practical tools that enable them to strengthen the Association role and achieve those expectations.
